Listen. I was chatting before about the excitement, for want of a better word, of PS5 Pro's PSSR tech being updated, and how I'd been going through all my games to see how they fare with this newly enhanced upscaling magic. My wife wants a divorce.

Anyway, Space Marine 2 is one of the best things I've played since I picked this console up, and it was already fairly astonishing to look at. But now – yes , you guessed it – it looks even better. Yes it does.

It's also on PS Plus this month. So, you should defo get on that to see it in all of its newly PSSR'd glory if you have a sub.

Beyond the resolution bump, which jumps out immediately, you start to spot so much more detail on armour and in background structures, where once it was all a bit of a blur. I can't see that I could tell the difference between this version and a high-end PC now. So that's nice. I thought I'd let you know.

This already looked ridiculous, especially when the swarms come out.

Oh and while I'm at it, I just had a good old shot on Battlefield 6 (my God I fucking suck at this game now btw) and it is looking way better, like meaningfully so, too. IMPORTANT FOR THE HEADSHOTS EH, COMRADE.
